About Lincoln School


Lincoln Elementary is a kindergarten through fifth grade school serving approximately 350 Kings Canyon Unified School District students.  On average the ethnic composition of Lincoln Elementary is 96% Hispanic, 2% White and 2% other.  Lincoln also has a preschool program as well as a transitional kindergarten.


Teachers are active in various staff development activities provided by the district and/or outside the district that address effective teaching strategies in combination with State Standards that enable all students academic needs to be met.  All of our teachers that have less than 4 years of teaching experience, have completed or are currently in our BTSA program (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment).  We also provide 2 BTSA Support Providers from our school site to assist our new teachers with this program.


Lincoln’s staff is comprised of 17 certificated teachers. The district provides a school psychologist, nurse, RSP teacher, on-site counselor, and speech pathologist to our school site.  Our classified staff includes a school secretary, office/health aide, 4 bilingual instructional aides, a family connection technician, a special education technician, a library media technician, 2 food service technicians, and 3 custodians.  The school provides two academic coaches.  The principal serves as the lead administrator.
